Jane Shirley




Jane’s work in organizational design and leadership development spans twenty years and five countries.  In 2006, she broke new ground in Colorado by leading the design and implementation of the first autonomous district schools in the state. As a principal, Jane received the Wright Way Award for innovative leadership and was named principal of the year by Aurora Public Schools. Her work in transforming schools was recently recognized by the National Association of Secondary School Principals and MetLIfe.  She is the founder and creator of Rattlebrain Entertainment, a critically acclaimed production company and winner of the 2002 Downtown Denver Partnership Award for significant contribution and positive impact in the Denver Community.

Dr. Bev Clemens




Bev Clemens, PhD, is an experienced educational leader who has worked in large suburban districts and smaller urban school districts with diverse student populations.  As a former classroom teacher, district leader, building leader, and professional developer, she has understands how all levels of our educational system need to work together to create the educational transformation we need.  

As a Catapult graduate, Bev has first-hand experience in applying the skills, tools, and habits that are developed through the Fellowship program at the District and School level for the benefit of all students.

In addition to her work with Catapult, Bev works as a Marzano Research Associate helping schools and districts transform their instructional practices to meet the needs of all students.

Michelle Barone




Michelle is a national leader in transforming schools through strong instructional practices and effective data teams.  Most recently, she served as the leader of Montview Elementary School and received a number of awards including the National Distinguished Title 1 School of the Year Award, Aurora Public Schools Elementary Principal of the Year Award in 2008-2009, and the Governor’s Distinguished Improvement Award.  Montview was also named a Center of Excellence school and received the Partnership for Great Schools Award three years in a row. In addition, Michelle is a published children's book author.


Chris Fleming





Chris Fleming is a school designer, coach and principal and is certified by the National Institute of School Leaders.  She holds an M.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Missouri and an M.A.Ed.from Lindenwood University in St. Charles. Chris previously served as a principal in Aurora, CO where she was named Elementary Principal of the Year in 2009-2010. Her school was recognized as a Colorado Center of Excellence by the Colorado Department of Education and she was honored with the Colorado Legacy Foundation's Effective Educator Award for Family Involvement. 


Robert Fritz





During the past twenty-five years, over 80,000 people in 27 countries have participated in Fritz’ leadership trainings. His approach to structural dynamics is the foundation of meaningful and lasting change for both individuals and organizations. He is sought after consultant, speaker and the author of several books including Path of Least Resistance for Managers, The Managerial Moment of Truth and Your Life as Art.


Debbie Brown





Debbie has worked in public education for 35 years.  During that time she has been a classroom teacher, instructional coach and administrator in the Denver metro area. Debbie has served as an elementary principal with Aurora Public Schools and Littleton Public Schools.  Currently she is an affiliate faculty member at Regis University in the Educational Leadership M.Ed. program.  In addition, Debbie holds an Associate Certification with STEP Emergenetics and serves as a STEP Implementation Coach. 


Tom Leahy




Tom has over 30 years of experience developing powerful, effective teams that get results and is a master of teaching through experience.  Participants in his courses are immersed in the complexity of team development. Through his work with organizations across the country, Tom has developed effective models for team diagnostics, decision-making, problem solving, developing voice and understanding the complexity of choice. 


Matthew Taylor




Matthew is an author and playwright with a long history of acting, storytelling and the art of improvisation. He formed Persuasion through Narrative in 2010 to teach communication skills through the use of narrative and has quickly gained a strong reputation especially within the legal profession. Since 2006 he has also taught Speaker Training and Working with Visuals for Hillside Communications, a leader in the communications field within the medical industry.


Michael Grinder

Michael Grinder is an expert in the power of influence — the science of non-verbal communication, non-verbal leadership, group dynamics, advanced relationship building skills and presentation skills. After years of experience as a teacher, Michael began sharing his research and experience. He is the author several books and his work with  schools and districts  has transformed the levels of teaching and learning across the country. Michael Grinder is the pioneer in teaching others how to perceive non-verbal communication in a group setting and is a highly sought after trainer and keynote speaker.
